Sonia Mehra Chawla’s works are absolutely stunning. This talented artist born in Kolkata (India), is mixing reality and fantasy to create a surreal and theatrical world, often colorful and with the nature omnipresent. Life and death, evolution and destruction are recurrent themes where biomorphic and hybrids forms stand along with human figures and chromosome and human cell -like are part of the landscape. This is in my view, a very poetic and beautiful manner to say we are all connected to the nature.
