I still cannot believe it but yes, we are now married. And for all the folks who plan a wedding: trust me, an intimate one with just your best mates as witnesses and the love of your life was soooo perfect.

Travelling is not easy at the moment, very costly too, but thanks to my flexible job, I managed to be with my family, and this is so good to spend time with all. We are everything but religious and so, Christmas is simply a time for us to be together, share nice meals, having nice walks in the woods, play various games with my nephews and this, while it is quite cold outside.

This is why, when I saw this picture from McNair Evans, it hits home in my heart.

Here, there is no Christmas lights, no dead tree or nicely packaged gifts, nor the usual snow white landscapes. A card game lays on the table, where the condensation on windows seems to be the main player. There is no big laugh, no excitement, but we could almost hear the muffled sound of whatever happens in the other side of this room, like a coffee making or the whispering of a adult to a child who just awake.

It a very cinematic picture and perfect for today.

Merry Christmas all,
